Quality digital programming is an extension or reflection of the physical program.
In my time at the State Library Victoria I have worked on a number of digital projects:
- Inside a Dog website (2011-present) is currently in the final stages of redevelopment. The new and improved website will provide increased opportunities for teens to read, create and connect.
- Inky Awards (2011-present) are a national book award chosen by teens for teens. I manage the mentorship program of seven teen judges across Australia, and the awards (more information here.)
- Shift Alt Story (2013-16) was a short online course for professionals to explore how digital platforms have transformed how we read, write and share our experience of stories. Through practical writing tasks and discussion, participants explore techniques used by writers to create digital stories and engage with young adults online.
- Meet the Author live stream series (2015-16), in partnership with ABC Splash, allowed over 50,000 young people to ask questions of their favourite writers. Watch a snippet here.
